"PUT SOME RESPECT ON THE BUSH!"
Flashback to last month. Friday October 22nd was an eventful night for those in attendance at Thwock’s very own Halloween party, “A Night of Horror”. Outside of an entertaining skate competition, hilarious costume competition, and passionate performances by Lotus Love, Freeedomo, and Demi Ramos, it was the performance and antics of headliner BIGKLIT that stole the show. The name BIGKLIT paints a picture of an artist that is bold, audacious, and unapologetic about her femininity. And that’s exactly what her performance exemplified, especially for those that were unfamiliar with her music until they saw her perform that night. The energy of her performance exhilarated the crowd, and was the climax of a night of great performances. Coming from a man, her performance and the events that took place during it could’ve been overwhelming, but to hear a woman with so much rage, anger, and love was a refreshing experience. The hyper masculinity that is typically seen & heard throughout hip-hop is getting redundant and people are eager to hear new forms of hip-hop music.

In the middle of her performance, BIGKLIT ordered a (consenting) young man to “respect the bush” as he proceeded to lick and kiss her pubic hairs. Unanimously the women in the crowd loved it, and the men were bewildered. Nonetheless, everyone in the audience was left with their jaws on the floor. It was a show stopper worthy of a post on the infamous World Star Hip-Hop. In addition to having a young man “respect the bush”, she french kissed and spit in the mouth of a young woman in the front row. There were a lot of unscripted love scenes that took place at “A Night of Horror”.
